A two-day training programme on Branding and Packaging under the Raising and Acceleration MSME Performance (RAMP) Project: MN 5.3 concluded today at CMTC, NUSMUCOS, CLF, located in Island Village, Tengnoupal district.
The programme was organised by the District Industries Centre (DIC), Chandel, with sponsorship support from the Manipur Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MANIDCO). The initiative aims to enhance the branding and packaging expertise of local entrepreneurs to strengthen their market presence and improve product value.
The training specifically targeted UDYAM-registered MSME units of the district, with particular emphasis on units involved in food processing, handloom, and handicrafts. Resource persons from the Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata Centre, conducted various technical sessions, guiding participants on modern packaging practices, brand-building techniques, and market-compatible product presentation to help them compete effectively in regional and national markets.
Officials from DIC Chandel also highlighted the importance of branding and packaging in ensuring better visibility and sustainable business growth for local producers. Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that the training provided practical insights and updated industry knowledge useful for improving their products.
Meanwhile, a similar training programme was also organised earlier on October 27 and 28 at Chandel Christian Village for UDYAM-registered MSME units in Chandel district, ensuring wider outreach and benefits for entrepreneurs in the region.
