March 24, 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Mizoram Police, in a joint operation, seized a large quantity of ammunition, explosives, and other items from a house in Lunglei district of Mizoram, which shares unfenced borders with both Bangladesh and Myanmar, on Saturday.
The seized items include 6,200 rounds of 7.62 mm AK series rifle ammunition, 1,800 meters of cordex, 600 detonators, a 20-meter safety fuse, and various other equipment from a house in the bordering Lunglei district on Saturday night.
Three persons, including a woman, were also arrested in connection with the seizure of ammunition and explosives. The operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs by troops of the 92 Battalion border guarding force under Mizoram and Cachar Frontiers, along with Mizoram Police.
