The whole of Churachandpur district has been declared a ‘No Drone Zone,’ prohibiting the flying of any kind of aviation devices including UAVs, drones, balloons, etc., in view of the proposed visit of a VVIP to the district.
As per the order of the Churachandpur District Magistrate, the use of aerial photography/videography in any form by drones, balloons, etc., is hereby restricted. The order is punishable by legal action under Section 223 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (B.N.S.), 2023, and other relevant provisions of law.
This step has been taken to ensure and strengthen security during the visit of the VVIP. It may be mentioned that PM Narendra Modi is likely to visit Manipur in the second week of this month, and preparations can also be seen in the valley areas of Manipur as well.
