March 19, 2025: The Churachandpur District Hospital urges all concerned citizens of the district to respect health institutions and shun all kinds of violence within the campus.
Appealing to all people in Churachandpur, the Superintendent of the District Hospital has called for an immediate end to the violence; otherwise, the district hospital, the only referral center in the entire district, will ultimately collapse, causing immense suffering to the people.
A statement said that on the evening of March 18, 2025, an angry mob barged into the campus of the District Hospital, Churachandpur District, at around 9:00 PM and intimidated the hospital staff and patients. The situation came under control only when security forces arrived at around 11:00 PM.
The hospital is run by staff from different parts of the district, and this unhealthy atmosphere of mistrust has prevented many from carrying out their normal duties at the hospital from today.
As a consequence, all operations were canceled today due to a lack of OT staff and technicians. The hospital wards and OPDs suffered the same.
