A strong appeal for peace and restraint has been issued in Manipur following recent discussions in New Delhi regarding the state’s situation.

After holding two rounds of meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other central leaders, N. Biren Singh returned to Imphal on Wednesday. Speaking at Imphal Airport, he shared details of his discussions focused on the prevailing law and order issues and the importance of ensuring free and safe passage along the National Highways.

According to Singh, the Union Home Minister gave a patient hearing to his concerns and assured that the Centre remains committed to protecting the interests of Manipur and its indigenous communities.

Touching upon the formation of a new government in the state, Singh mentioned that the central leadership is closely assessing the ground situation and appropriate steps will be taken soon.

Urging the people of Manipur to maintain peace, Singh emphasized the importance of adopting democratic means and avoiding violence during this critical period.
