Keinou Thongkha’s Khangembam Chaoba and Kabo Wakching’s Dr. K. Heera Kabui have been selected for the prestigious Maichou Ningsing Mana and Chingmi Tammi Nungsi Khudol Mana awards, respectively.
The awards, revered for honoring outstanding contributions to Manipuri culture and literature, will be bestowed during the 296th Observance of Puya Mei Thaba at Lam Ahingba Lampak on January 22nd.
Organised by ICOP, LAIKAL, Lam Ahingba Thougal Lup, and Apunba Meira Lup, the event marks a significant cultural milestone.
At a press meet held on Saturday at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, convenor Moirangthem Naokhamba Meetei stressed the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment, urging all stakeholders to ensure the day remains free from any disruptions.
The unveiling of the event’s poster further highlighted the community’s anticipation and preparation for this auspicious occasion.
