One active cadre of the Chin-Kuki National Defence Force/Army (CKNDF/A), who was involved in extortion, kidnapping, weapon smuggling, and drug trafficking from across Myanmar, has been arrested by state security on Tuesday.
The CKNDF/A is a non-SoO group and the arrest was made from Tuibong in Churachandpur District of Manipur. The arrested individual has been identified as Ngamkhosat Touthang alias Sasat (38) of B. Ebenezer in Tuibong.
The arrested person is also an accused in a case registered in connection with unlawful activities, and security personnel had earlier seized 05 (five) letterheads of CKNDF/A, 01 (one) locally made pistol, along with 03 (three) 9 mm live rounds.
