It is reported that CDF-Hakha troops attacked Hakha town this morning in Chin State, where the Military Commission is planning to hold elections.
The CDF-Hakha troops reportedly attacked the 266th Battalion, stationed at Rom Taung in Hakha town, at around 6 am today, December 26.
Details of the battle are not yet known, and the CDF-Hakha has not released any statement so far.
Following the attack on the 266th Battalion, Military Commission troops reportedly bombed Hakha town three times using fighter jets.
The shooting occurred two days before the election, which will be held in the first phase of the Military Commission’s elections on December 28, covering Hakha and Tetem in Chin State.
The CDF-Hakha Central Council has announced the confiscation of all properties in Hakha city belonging to parliamentarians contesting the upcoming elections organised by the Military Commission and has called on the public to observe a silent strike on election day.
