As part of Good Governance Week – Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore 2025 (December 19–25), the District Administration of Churachandpur organised a district-level workshop on December 23 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Tuibong. The programme aimed to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen-focused service delivery across the district.
Presided over by Teresa Tangpua, the workshop was structured into two sessions. Former Deputy Commissioner Lunminthang Haokip attended as special guest and shared experiences from his tenure, highlighting critical issues such as traffic congestion, road connectivity, power infrastructure, urbanisation challenges, and the need to effectively utilise District Rural Development Agency provisions for town development.
The morning session featured presentations on award-winning governance initiatives implemented in previous years. District-level officers, including the Chief Medical Officer, SDC Churachandpur (Lamka South), and the Nodal Officer for DAJGUA/AKA, presented departmental achievements, ongoing programmes, and service delivery improvements that have contributed to public trust and administrative efficiency.
The afternoon session focused on shaping Churachandpur’s Vision 2047 roadmap and was led by Lalrobul Fimate. Participating departments—including Health, SDC Singngat, Self-Help Groups, Police, Electricity, PHED, ZEO, and Sports—outlined sector-wise development priorities. Key areas discussed included healthcare expansion, infrastructure development, law and order, water and sanitation, women’s empowerment, reliable power supply, and sports promotion.
Technical coordination by Michael Paul Haokip and Timothy Hauthianmuan ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
The workshop concluded with a reaffirmation of the district’s commitment to inclusive and accountable governance, in line with the broader objectives of Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore 2025.
