May 9, 2025: With a focus on keeping Imphal City clean, the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a high-level review meeting on Friday with officials of the Municipal Administration, Housing & Urban Development (MAHUD) at the Raj Bhavan conference hall.
During the session, Principal Secretary of MAHUD, RK Dinesh Singh, along with Director Ng. Uttam Singh, delivered a detailed presentation highlighting key components of the campaign. Their presentation covered critical sectors such as municipal waste management, solid waste collection, and its transportation and disposal mechanisms. They also shared the challenges being encountered on the ground while putting forward innovative solutions and actionable strategies to improve overall efficiency.
The MAHUD officials presented a comprehensive roadmap to the Governor, outlining the way forward to build a cleaner and more sustainable Imphal. The plan reflects a firm commitment to overcoming infrastructural and logistical hurdles in waste management across the city.
