Imphal, March 29: Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, commemorating the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir.
In his message, the Chief Minister highlighted that the life and teachings of Lord Mahavir continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity. He noted that the principles of Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truth), Aparigraha (non-possession), and Anekantavada (pluralism) offer practical guidance for peaceful coexistence among diverse communities.
Emphasising the relevance of these teachings in today’s world, he stated that true progress lies in compassion, tolerance, and respect for every living being. He further expressed hope that Lord Mahavir’s blessings would guide people on the path of righteousness, peace, and mutual respect.
The Chief Minister also called upon the people to imbibe the values of universal brotherhood and harmony on this auspicious occasion.
