IMPHAL, September 10: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday assured the bereaved family of late musician and music teacher Chongtham Vikram that those responsible for his death would be brought to justice.
Khemchand Singh visited the deceased’s residence at Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai, Imphal West, and met his parents, wife and son. He expressed sorrow over the incident and assured the family of all possible government assistance and support.
Vikram, a respected musician and music teacher from Manipur, died following an alleged brutal assault at his residence in Kilokri, New Delhi. He is survived by his wife and son.
Thangmeiband MLA Khumukcham Joykisan Singh was also present during the visit.
