Imphal, March 25: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand on Wednesday called on the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where he briefed her on the prevailing situation in the state.
According to a statement shared by the Chief Minister, he apprised the President of the evolving developments in Manipur and the calibrated and coordinated response being undertaken by the state government to address the challenges.
During the meeting, both leaders held detailed deliberations on key issues concerning peace, stability, and restoration of normalcy in the state. The Chief Minister emphasised that unity, harmony, and peace remain the guiding principles of the government’s approach.
He further reiterated the state government’s commitment to working with utmost dedication towards safeguarding the well-being and interests of all citizens amid the ongoing situation.
