After due deliberation and discussion with the Executive Consultation Committee meeting held today, the people of Manipur have demanded an earnest apology from the Governor of Manipur for allowing such an administration.
We also seek the immediate resignation of the top responsible officers under the Governor’s administration — the Security Advisor, the Director General of Police, and the Chief Secretary of the state — because they are all responsible for the decision that has undermined the state of Manipur, its pride, and the respect it deserves in honour of its name.
In condemnation and protest against such irresponsible anti-state decisions, the COCOMI has immediately called for a 48-hour general strike from today midnight. Within this 48-hour timeline, the CSO also demands the resignation of the Security Advisor, the DGP, and the Chief Secretary of Manipur, and calls for the immediate withdrawal of President’s Rule and this kind of administration.
