Feb 28, 2025 : Stressing the need for a media cell to facilitate healthy inter-college competitions to showcase students’ talents and skills, Dr. O. Rudrababu, Principal of Kha Manipur College, called for proactive initiatives in the education sector.
He made the remarks while delivering the chief guest’s speech at the Annual Social Freshers’ Meet, organized by the Kha Manipur College Students’ Union as part of the ongoing College Week celebrations since February 24.
The event featured cultural performances, including traditional dance and Thang-Ta, adding vibrancy to the celebration.
Dr. Rudrababu also highlighted the necessity of corpus funds in colleges and universities to develop world-class infrastructure, citing delays in government funding as a major obstacle.
Associate Professor Yengkhom Raju and Mayanglambam Rabi, Proprietor of Rabi Jewellery, graced the occasion as special guests.
Addressing the gathering, Rabi emphasized the lack of a comprehensive education policy in Manipur, which he said had led to disparities in learning outcomes.
He urged authorities to formulate effective education policies that cater to the state’s needs, ensuring equitable access to quality education.
