CoHSEM XII Exam Begins Peacefully with Strict Rules Across Centres

Feb. 17, 2025: Amidst all the conflicts surrounding the state, the Class XII examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CoHSEM), Manipur, began peacefully this morning.

To ensure students do not use any unfair means during the examination, many centers, particularly in the Imphal areas, have implemented strict security measures. Students can be seen being frisked one by one at the gate by school authorities and guards before entering the examination center and their respective halls. No electronic gadgets are allowed inside the examination centers. Many students’ guardians can also be seen waiting outside the school compound after dropping off their wards for the exam.

Altogether, a total of 29,065 students will decide their fate in this year’s exam, comprising 20,893 students in the Science stream, 7,632 in Arts, and 540 Commerce students. The examination, which begins today, will be held across 112 exam centers set up by CoSEM, with another 74 centers based in the valley district and 38 in the hill areas of Manipur.
