Jan 17 2025: The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) has served a 24-hours ultimatum to concern Naga Tribe to come forward to them who thrash 6 Kuki boys in Tangkhul Hundung area on Friday morning around, who were tasked to Phailengmol areas under Island Sub-Division, Kangpokpi.
According to a statement sent to Press, it said, “the CoTU vehemently condemn such unprovoked harassment on the Kuki-Zo volunteers by Tangkhul militants of Hundung and Singkap areas and, the culprits involved in the incident must be brought to the concerned within 24 hours”.
The statement also warned that if the persons involved are not brought with 24 hrs time then “any untoward incident arising out of it, will be the sole responsibility of Tangkhul Hundung and Singkap area”.
The stament also asked the Nagas of Manipur to stay neutral in this ensuing communal conflict of Manipur, unlike the Tangkhuls in Hundung and Singkap areas.
