The “5-Day Workshop on Holistic Progress Card (HPC) Secondary Stage and Standardisation of Question Paper Templates”, conducted under the Equivalence of Boards initiative of PARAKH–NCERT, New Delhi, commenced on Monday and will continue until January 9, 2026, at Imperial Hall, Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal.
The workshop is jointly organised by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) and PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi.
The inaugural programme was attended by Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO & Head, PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, who delivered the keynote address, emphasising PARAKH’s efforts to transform the examination system in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and to ensure parity among school boards across the country.
Takhellambam Ojit Singh, Chairman, COHSEM, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the transformative reforms being jointly undertaken by COHSEM and PARAKH, and underscoring the pivotal role of teachers in ensuring the success of these initiatives.
The workshop aims to develop a strong pool of resource persons to support the implementation of PARAKH’s core initiatives, including the development of Holistic Progress Cards, Equivalence of Boards, assessment reforms, and the framing of competency-based balanced question papers.
The workshop has seen the active participation of over 180 participants, who are engaging in a range of intensive, hands-on activities. These include designing group projects aligned with the Holistic Progress Card (HPC), deconstructing existing question papers to understand new assessment frameworks and design principles, and developing blueprints for balanced, competency-based question papers.
