Cyber Security Lab Inaugurated at MPTC, Set to Train 3,000 Personnel Over 3 Years

March 19, 2025: In a stride towards enhancing cybersecurity preparedness, a state-of-the-art Cyber Security Lab was inaugurated today at the Manipur Police Training College in Imphal East.

The lab, established under the auspices of NIELIT and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, aims to provide intensive training to 3,000 police personnel from various districts and police stations over the next three years.

The inauguration ceremony, graced by Imphal West Deputy Commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar, witnessed the presence of key officials, including Md. Abul Kalam, Assistant Director (Indoor) of Manipur Police Training College, and Yumnam Jayanta, Executive Director of NIELIT Imphal Centre.

Yumnam Jayanta, Executive Director of NIELIT Imphal Centre, highlighted that the initial phase will focus on training police personnel, with plans to subsequently open training programs for the general public.
