Feb. 17, 2025: In a high-end cyber drama by an unknown cyber wiz, the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s official X (formerly Twitter) account was reportedly breached and hacked, turned into a Nazi Hitler Gov account, and later modified again as Bihar’s Water Resource Department.
At first, the hackers modified the account to mimic a verified page of Adolf Hitler, former chief of the Nazi Party, with the username @adolf_gov and a bio that read, “Make Germany Great Again. Decentralisation is what will help me to implement my plans.”
Later, the hacked account was modified again to look like the Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar, with a bio that read, “#WRD_Bihar works for creation & restoration of #irrigation potential; construction & maintenance of embankments and undertakes necessary #flood protection work.” After the hack, the follower count also surged to 60,000.
The official X account of the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, was breached by hackers, after which the account name was changed to Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar.
