DC Bishnupur Launches Online Tourist Pass Issuance and Monitoring System

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram, IAS, launched the Online Tourist Pass Issuance and Monitoring System on May 8, 2025, at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The program was organised by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bishnupur. Briefing the media, District Informatics Officer Rajkumari Romita stated that the new system aims to offer a hassle-free and user-friendly ticketing experience for tourists. Tourists will be able to book tickets online or at the site, with the tickets verified through an integrated QR code scanner to ensure authenticity and prevent misuse.

Developed by NIC Manipur and hosted at the NIC Manipur Data Centre, the application is available at https://touristpass.mn.gov.in. The system also features administrative tools to generate real-time reports of ticket issuance, enabling better monitoring of tourist footfall and supporting data-driven decision-making.

She encouraged all officials present to actively use the platform and provide feedback for its further improvement.

The launch event was attended by ADM Bishnupur Toijam Opendro, ASIO (NIC Districts) Tarakishori Rajkumari, district-level officers, and other concerned officials.
