A disability assessment camp was conducted today at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kakching Conference Hall under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching.
The initiative was organised by the Health Department, Kakching, under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), in coordination with the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO).
A total of 84 individuals underwent medical examinations by doctors from various fields to determine their disability status as per prescribed norms.
Certificates and Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards are being issued to enable beneficiaries to avail schemes and welfare measures.
The camp followed the announcement of Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand during his 79th Independence Day address, where he had assured that a Medical Disability Board would be convened in the district on the last Friday of every month.
Earlier, residents had to travel to Thoubal District for certification.
