Feb. 16, 2025: A highly decomposed body was found in a gorge near Yangkhullen along Madam Peren Road, NH-129A, on February 15 in Senapati district. Maram Police rushed to the spot and retrieved the unidentified body later in the evening.
Maram Police stated that the deceased is suspected to be a non-local, aged about 30-40 years. The height was measured to be around 5 feet 2 inches, with a dark complexion. The body was found wearing black half pants, a black and white striped shirt, and white jogging shoes.
With no one claiming the body, it has been transported to Imphal and kept at the JNIMS morgue for identification. A case has been registered. Maram Police stated that if the body is not claimed within three days, necessary legal procedures will be conducted for disposal.
