Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a gathering at Kangla this afternoon, highlighted that “to ensure Diksha Bharat, Manipur’s development is essential.”
Casting the state not as a distant frontier but as a pivotal axis of India’s progress, he pledged peace, prosperity, and the resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Earlier at Churachandpur too, Modi’s focus remained firmly on Manipur, presenting it as a cornerstone for the nation’s future rather than a periphery weighed down by conflict.
His words positioned the state as a driving force in Bharat’s forward march, a land whose stability and strength could shape the trajectory of the entire nation.
Yet, amid the vision of a resurgent Manipur powering Diksha Bharat, one silence stood out. The Prime Minister chose not to address the growing public demand for restoration of a popular government in the state, leaving a crucial question of political accountability unanswered.
