The Office of the District Officer (Horticulture & Soil Conservation), Imphal East, in the presence of Nivedita Lairenlakpam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal East, organised a distribution programme at the DC Office Complex, Porompat, Imphal East, on 21 August 2025. The programme was held under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) – CAFETERIA 2023–24 (2nd instalment).
A total of 39 beneficiaries from Imphal East were provided with Battery-Operated Knapsack Sprayers and Hand Wheel Hoe/Weeders. The initiative aims to enhance horticultural production and productivity, while also promoting mechanization to reduce manpower needs and improve efficiency.
The department also announced that it will review crop production potential and explore area expansion for sustainable growth in the years ahead.
