In a continued effort to safeguard the well-being of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), the District Administration of Churachandpur, led by Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, conducted a relief distribution visit to a camp located near the Sehken dumping site on Monday.

The visit aimed to provide essential assistance to displaced families as winter approaches. The team distributed rations, blankets, and thermal wear to help residents cope with the cold season. The initiative forms part of the district administration’s broader programme to ensure consistent support and aid to those living in temporary shelters.

During his interaction with the camp residents, DC Dharun Kumar S assured that the administration remains fully committed to their welfare. He emphasized that ongoing relief measures will continue until all displaced families are adequately rehabilitated and resettled.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional DC Seiminthang Lenthang, CEO of ADCC Lalthazam, and SDO Saikot Alfred L. Khaute. The officials inspected the living conditions at the camp and noted the immediate needs of the residents to facilitate timely follow-up actions.

The district administration has been conducting similar outreach programmes across various relief camps in Churachandpur, reaffirming its focus on humanitarian assistance and community resilience.
