District Administration Reviews Development Plans Under Vibrant Villages Programme-II in Churachandpur

Churachandpur, July 17: The District Level Committee (DLC) meeting under the Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II) was held on Friday at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Mini Secretariat, Tuibong, to review development plans for border villages in Churachandpur district.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, and attended by officials from DRDA, PWD, PHED, PMGSY, Health, Education, Social Welfare, MSPDCL, BSNL, NIC, and MSRLM.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the Village Action Plans and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) prepared under VVP-II. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for coordinated planning among departments and directed officials to refine their proposals to ensure the effective implementation of development projects. He also called for collective efforts to strengthen infrastructure and improve connectivity in remote border areas.

The Vibrant Villages Programme-II aims to promote the holistic development of strategic villages along India’s international land borders by focusing on critical infrastructure, connectivity, and livelihood opportunities.

In Churachandpur district, the programme covers the blocks of Singngat, Sangaikot, Mualnuam, and Suangdoh.
