Senapati, October 13, 2025 (DIO-IPR): The District Youth Affairs and Sports Office of Senapati today organised the District Level Youth Awareness and Leadership Camp 2025-26 at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.
The programme began with a felicitation and presentation to Ng. Mary Saza, Presidential Awardee of My Bharat, National Service Scheme Awardee (2022-2023), 2025, Asufii Christian Institute, Punanamei, Mao.
During the awareness and leadership camp, Ngaonii Panii, Sub-Deputy Collector, Senapati; Ng. Mary Saza, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Hill College, Tadubi; and Ng. Ngaorai, District Officer (Horticulture and Soil Conservation), Senapati, were the resource persons of today’s function, speaking on Youth Leadership, Youth’s Vision Towards Viksit Bharat-2027, and Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprise respectively.
While speaking on Youth Leadership, Ngaonii Panii, SDC, Senapati, stated that youth are the backbone and change-makers of society. He encouraged the youths to be grateful and continue with the legacy of their former leaders. Besides, he also highlighted various government programmes and schemes for the welfare of the people. He urged the gathering to be rigorous, effective, and sacrificial leaders with practical insight into leadership qualities.
Ng. Mary Saza, Assistant Professor, in her speech on Youth’s Vision Towards Viksit Bharat-2027, said that youth are one of the pillars of nation-building. She emphasized that youths should be active in educating villagers and communities on various programmes and develop skills for the betterment of society. She also shared her journey towards achieving the Presidential Award.
Ng. Ngaorai, DO (Horticulture & Soil Conservation), Senapati, while speaking on Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprise, highlighted the differences between business and entrepreneurship. He mentioned the common problems and success stories of entrepreneurs and informed that various schemes are available for entrepreneur-minded youths to venture into their journeys. He urged the youth leaders to work hard for a better future.
In today’s programme, 59 participants from 11 Registered Youth Centres (Tadubi, Song Song, TNK, Paomata, Oinam, Oklong, M. Ningthoupham, Makhan, Lakhamai, Rabunamei, and Lairouching) were awarded Certificates of Participation in the District Level Youth Awareness and Leadership Camp 2025-26.
