Thoubal, Dec 14 :The District Level Youth Festival 2025 was held on Sunday at the Multipurpose Indoor Stadium in Thoubal Khetri Leikai. The event was organised by the District Youth Affairs & Sports Officer, Thoubal.
The festival saw participation from youth aged 15–29 from across the district, showcasing their talents in various events such as painting, story writing, poetry, folk song, and folk dance.
Dignitaries including L. Marjit Kumar, State Director of Mera Yuva Bharat Manipur; K. Michael, Retired Assistant Director, SAI Imphal; and N. Rameshor, Senior Youth Officer, Directorate of YAS, Government of Manipur, graced the occasion.
The winners of the festival were as follows:
In Declamation, Swami Waikhom (1st), Rojesh Wahengbam (2nd), and Rajpriyari Soibam (3rd).
In Folk Dance, PEACE Thoubal secured the first position.
In Folk Song, The Social Welfare & Cultural Development Organisation won first place, followed by PEACE Thoubal in second place.
In Poetry, Heigrujam Rishina Devi secured first position.
In Story Writing, Khumukcham Tombi Devi (1st), Sajid Makakmayum (2nd), and Swami Waikhom (3rd).
In Painting, Manushree Thongam secured first place, while Makakmayum Rahish secured second place.
The winners will represent Thoubal district at the State Level Youth Festival, and selected participants will represent Manipur at the National Youth Festival to be held in New Delhi from January 12 to 16.
