DLC Heirok Lifts MAX TROPHY

Thoubal, March 29 : DLC Heirok emerged as the champion of the MAX TROPHY Late Ningthoujam Hemanta @Naobi Memorial 1st State Level Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament 2026, which was organised by Heirok United Cricket Club at Heirok Part (II) Mayai Leikai Polo Ground.

With 12 teams participating, the tournament kicked off on March 1, 2026.

The winning team, DLC Heirok, received a medal and trophy along with prize money of Rs 50,000. The runners-up, Street Gang Moijing, received a medal and trophy along with prize money of Rs 30,000.

In the final match played today, DLC Heirok won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring a total of 100 runs in 13.5 overs out of the stipulated 15 overs, losing 10 wickets. In response, Street Gang Moijing could only manage to score 81 runs in 15 overs, losing 9 wickets, and thus DLC Heirok won the match by 19 runs.

The Man of the Match for the tournament was awarded to Makakmayum Aziz Mirza from DLC Heirok. The Player of the Tournament was Syed Hussain from DLC Heirok. The Best Batter of the Tournament was N. Rohit from HUCC, the Best Bowler of the Tournament was Danish Khan from DLC Heirok, and the Best Disciplined Team award went to HUCC.

These players and the team received trophies and prize money.

The closing ceremony of the tournament, held today, was attended by Imphal West Deputy Commissioner M. Rajkumar, IAS; former Minister M. Okendro; CO of 3rd IRB S. Hemanta, MPS; Director of Settlement Department David Elangbam; Founder of Millennium School Pangeijam Robin; Assistant Superintendent of RIMS Dr. Laishram Trinity Meitei; Assistant Professor of DM University Rajkumar Chingkhei; Thoubal Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kh. Sobha; Pradhan and Zilla Parishad members, along with the donor family of the tournament, who graced the occasion as distinguished guests and distributed the trophies, medals, and prize money.
