D.M. College of Commerce, under Dhanamanjuri University, held its Induction Program for newly admitted B.Com and BBA 1st Semester students today, with a dignified tone in full observance of the State Mourning declared for Padma Shri Ratan Thiyam.
The event commenced with a two-minute silence, paying heartfelt tribute to the legendary theatre doyen. Faculty members familiarized students with college regulations, the NEP 2020, and the Academic Bank of Credit system.
Principal Prof. Kh. Rajen Singh encouraged the freshers to embrace academic discipline and purpose. Students’ Union General Secretary T. Vishwanath extended a warm welcome to the newcomers.
The program, steered by Dr. Chithung Mary Thomas, HOD of Management and Convenor, was praised for its smooth coordination and respectful tone. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Mohd. Sarwar Rahman, leaving students with a solemn yet inspiring start to college life.
