Don Bosco College Maram Empowers Maram Khullen Through Economic Awareness and Outreach Program

In a collaborative effort between the Economics Department of Don Bosco College Autonomous Maram and MKSU, a significant one-day Economic Outreach cum Awareness Program was conducted at Maram Khullen’s Maramei Namdi Village.

The event, themed “Do unto others what you want them to do unto you,” saw enthusiastic participation from 40 students of the Economics Department, who engaged actively with 123 students from classes 2 to 10 of Maram Khullen.

The program, graced by Hingba Felix, Local Catechist of St. Peter Church Maram Khullen, was marked by interactive sessions where students exhibited remarkable responsiveness.

A quiz competition added an element of learning, with prizes awarded for correct answers.

Following the interactions, every participating student was generously provided with shoes and clothes, ensuring a tangible impact on the community.

Moreover, the outreach extended beyond the school boundaries as essential items like dal, sugar, and milk were distributed to 30 elderly and underprivileged households.

Alongside these donations, awareness about cleanliness and financial prudence was imparted, resonating positively with the villagers who expressed their heartfelt support for the initiative.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the villagers, MKSU, and Catechist Hingba Felix and his team at St. Peter Church Maram Khullen for their unwavering support and collaboration,” remarked a spokesperson from Don Bosco College Autonomous Maram.
