Feb. 18, 2025 : Former Lok Sabha MP Dr. T. Meinya has voiced significant concerns over the political uncertainty in Manipur, urging the BJP central leadership to swiftly appoint a new Chief Minister.
Speaking at the 7th Foundation Day of the Langjing Achouba Old Age Home, Dr. Meinya addressed the growing confusion among the people of Manipur following the forced resignation of the previous Chief Minister by the BJP central leadership.
Dr. Meinya stressed the importance of addressing the root causes of the ongoing crisis, calling for immediate action to install fresh leadership in the state government.
He warned that any further delay in the appointment of a new Chief Minister could lead to severe political repercussions for the BJP, citing increasing tensions between the government and the people of Manipur.
In his remarks, delivered in the presence of notable figures such as RK Maipaksana and Dr. RK Nayansana Devi, Dr. Meinya called for comprehensive and urgent measures from the central leadership to stabilize the situation and restore confidence among the people of Manipur.
