Senapati, June 12: The District Election Officer (DEO), Senapati, has released the draft list of polling stations for 47-Karong (ST), 48-Mao (ST) and 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituencies, inviting public feedback as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 process.
According to the election administration, the draft list has been prepared following instructions issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, and the Election Commission of India regarding the rationalisation of polling stations. The exercise has been carried out with reference to July 1, 2026 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the provisions of the Manual of Polling Stations issued by the Election Commission of India.
To ensure transparency and wider public participation, copies of the draft polling station lists have been shared with recognised National and State political parties and made available for public inspection.
Members of the public may examine the documents during office hours at the District Election Officer’s office in Senapati and at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers of the three Assembly Constituencies. The draft lists are also available online through the district’s official website.
The District Election Administration has appealed to political parties, stakeholders and local residents to review the proposed polling station arrangements and submit any written suggestions, recommendations or objections within seven days from the date of publication.
