In an initiative to bolster technical expertise among Manipur’s youth, the Drone Training Node of Assam Rifles, in collaboration with IIIT Manipur, successfully conducted a five-day intensive Drone Training Capsule. From July 19 to 23, participants delved into cutting-edge drone technology, focusing on surveillance, disaster response, and border security operations.
Led by a cadre of esteemed experts including Dr. Ravi Kumar Gangwar and Professor Jeevesh Kumar, the programme emphasised practical skill development in drone assembly, aerial mapping, real-time surveillance, equipment maintenance, and data interpretation.
The training attracted over 30 enthusiastic participants from Assam Rifles and the Indian Army, combining rigorous theoretical sessions with hands-on field exercises to ensure operational readiness.
