Imphal, January 21, 2025: The eagerly anticipated Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival (EIIFF), organised by the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) and the Manipur State Film and Television Institute (MSFTI), is set to captivate audiences from February 6 to 9.
The festival promises a vibrant showcase of cinematic excellence, with screenings of 70 international and national films across four prestigious cinema halls in the state.
Speaking at a press conference held at the MSFDS Conference Hall in Imphal, Festival Director Sunzu Bachaspatimayum highlighted the profound impact of cinema, emphasising that films go beyond mere entertainment to reflect society and act as powerful tools for education.
The festival will feature competitive segments for both fiction and non-fiction films, celebrating the diversity of storytelling from around the world. Attendees can also look forward to engaging masterclasses, panel discussions, and cine talks, providing valuable insights into the art and craft of filmmaking.
Festival Director Sunzu urged the people of Manipur to embrace and support the festival, inviting them to witness the cinematic spectacle and celebrate the cultural vibrancy it promises to showcase.
