Electoral Officials Trained in Jiribam to Ensure Accurate Voter Rolls

A comprehensive training programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO) Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, IAS, was held today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Jiribam. The session was organized as part of the National Training Programme (NTP) on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2025.

The training aimed to strengthen the implementation of the Election Commission’s guidelines for maintaining error-free electoral rolls. It was attended by ERO/SDO Jiribam Laishram Tarajeet Singh, ALMTs/SDCs Moirangthem Devananda and Atom Bijendro Singh, AERO Abdul Kalam, ACP Prasanta Ahongshangbam, and other election officials.

Welcoming the newly appointed BLOs of the 40-Jiribam Assembly Constituency, DC Krishna Kumar emphasized the vital role BLOs play in ensuring smooth and transparent electoral processes. He highlighted the Election Commission’s emphasis on enhancing the capacity of ground-level election machinery, especially in the delivery of services at the grassroots.

The training focused on equipping BLOs with the necessary knowledge and operational clarity to effectively carry out the SIR 2025 process in line with the Commission’s directives. Krishna Kumar urged all participating officers to strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines to uphold the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls.

The session marks a key preparatory step for the district’s election readiness and is expected to enhance the overall efficiency of the electoral system in Jiribam.
