Exciting Lineup Unveiled for 2nd NEIFF 2025

Imphal, Jan. 31, 2025 : The eagerly anticipated 2nd North East India Film Festival (NEIFF) 2025 has officially announced its selection of In-Competition Films, setting the stage for a grand celebration of Northeast Indian cinema.

The announcement was made on Friday at the Auditorium of DIPR, Manipur, in the presence of Festival Director L. Surjakanta Sharma, along with other key organizers.

Organized by THOUNA, Manipur, in association with Film Forum Manipur and the Department of Information and Public Relations, NEIFF 2025 is sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).

The festival, scheduled from February 12 to 16, will showcase a dynamic mix of feature and non-feature films, celebrating the region’s rich storytelling traditions.

The Assamese films Amateurs by Dhiraj Kashyap and Baghjan by Jaicheng Xai Dohutia bring compelling narratives to the festival.

From Manipur, the feature films Laangol by Manoranjan Longjam, Langdai Ama by Binoranjan Oinam, Oitharei by Dinesh Naorem, Oneness by Priyakanta Laishram, Sunita by Yumnam Ajit Singh, and Una Una by Irel Luwang promise an engaging cinematic experience.

In the non-feature category, Legacy of 4 Generations by Th. Debendra Singh from Manipur and Where is My Home by Samiran Deka & Bhaskar Jyoti Das from Assam will bring thought-provoking storytelling to the festival.

With this exciting selection, NEIFF 2025 is set to celebrate the depth and diversity of Northeast Indian cinema.
