May 23, 2026 : The second day of the 1st Imphal East District Sepak Takraw Championship witnessed thrilling matches and energetic performances at PUC Ground, Kairang, as teams battled for top honours in different categories ahead of the final and closing day tomorrow.
The championship is being organised by the Imphal East District Sepak Takraw Association in association with Popular Union Club under the auspices of the All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association.
Young players from various clubs displayed impressive coordination, skill, and fighting spirit throughout the day, making the tournament highly competitive and entertaining for spectators. Organisers said the championship is playing an important role in promoting Sepak Takraw among the younger generation and providing a platform to nurture future talents of the state.
