Explosives, Firearms Seized During Security Operation in Churachandpur

Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and explosives during a search and area domination operation conducted in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts. The operation, carried out in Teijang village under Churachandpur Police Station in Churachandpur District, was part of ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activities and maintain law and order.

Items recovered during the operation include one Carbine Machine Gun, one country-made Single Barrel Rifle, one rocket with launcher (5 feet), one country-made mortar, one “Pumpi” firearm, one Carbine magazine, 10 live rounds of 9 mm ammunition, 10 mortar bombs, one Pumpi shell, one High Explosive (HE) bomb, two No. 36 hand grenades, 12 empty AK-47 cartridges, and one anti-riot dye marker grenade.
