Feb. 18, 2015: In a joint operation carried out last night, security forces arrested the Finance Secretary of the United National Kuki Army (UNKA), which is a non-Suspension of Operations (SoO) entity, from the Kaprang area, Churachandpur District, Manipur.
According to information, one AK rifle with ammunition was recovered from the UNKA cadre during the arrest, and one .315 rifle and a country-made single-barrel rifle were also recovered later from another location where he had attempted to hide while trying to flee.
Acting on specific intelligence, the operation was carried out jointly by Assam Rifles and Manipur Police. The apprehended person, along with the recovered weapons, has been handed over to Manipur Police, according to AR.
