As part of its continued efforts to strengthen public safety services and enhance emergency response mechanisms, the Manipur Fire Service today inaugurated a new Fire Sub-Station at the Noney District Headquarters.
The inaugural function was attended by the MLA of Nungba AC, Dinganglung Gangmei, and Chairman of the Hill Areas Committee; Deputy Commissioner, Noney, Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju; Director, Manipur Fire Service, L. Nabachandra Singh; Superintendent of Police, Noney, Namsadai Peter; Assistant Commandant of the CRPF Battalion; Officer-in-Charge, Noney; along with leaders of various local organisations, village leaders, pastors, and members of the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Director of Manipur Fire Service Shri L. Nabachandra Singh said the inauguration of the Fire Sub-Station during the festive Christmas season made the occasion even more meaningful, describing it as a memorable and significant day for the department.
He stated that the establishment of the sub-station was made possible through the collective support of the people and the government.
He further said that with the opening of the Fire Sub-Station, timely assistance can now be provided during incidents of fire outbreaks and other emergencies, which frequently occur in the region.
Appealing to the public, the Director urged citizens to extend full cooperation to the Fire Sub-Station by protecting its vehicles, equipment, and infrastructure, and by facilitating the smooth movement of fire service personnel during emergencies.
He also requested the public to promptly inform the Fire Service in case of fire incidents or other emergencies.
