Jan. 29, 2025 : The first-ever College Week Celebration-2025 officially began today at D.M. College of Science, organized by D.M. Community College, DDU-KAUSHAL Kendra, and D.M. College of Science.
The landmark event marks the beginning of an annual tradition, bringing together students and faculty for a five-day celebration filled with various activities and competitions.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Elangbam Jadu, Principal of D.M. College of Science; Professor M. Bhubaneshwari, Principal of D.M. Community College; Professor L. Hemchandra, Director of D.M. College of Science; Ch. Bijoy, Head of the Department of Physics, D.M. College of Science; Prof. R.K. Chandrakumar from the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science; and Prof. R.K. London, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dhanamanjuri University.
As part of the opening day, a March Past competition took place, featuring participation from eight student groups. The event will continue over the next few days with a variety of academic, cultural, and sports activities aimed at fostering unity, creativity, and school spirit among students.
In his address, Prof. L. Hemchandra emphasized the establishment of D.M. Community College in 2014 and its significant role in enhancing students’ academic and skill development.
The College Week Celebration is set to become a major annual event, further strengthening the sense of community within the college.
