Kakching, 6th September: The First Lady of Manipur, Mrs. Jyoti Bhalla, wife of Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, paid a visit to Kakching on Saturday and toured various important places in the district.
During the visit, Mrs. Jyoti Bhalla went to the residence of Padma Shri Awardee, founder of Mukta Shoes Pvt. Ltd., innovator and entrepreneur, Moirangthem Muktamani. She warmly interacted with her. Muktamani, wife of Kshetrimayum Naran of Moirangthem Leikai, Kakching, had risen from a humble background, overcoming hardships to become a renowned entrepreneur, and was conferred the Padma Shri Award in 2022. At present, through her footwear production, she provides livelihood to around 2,000 people. Mrs. Bhalla highly appreciated her inspiring journey, perseverance, and dedication.
Later, Mrs. Jyoti Bhalla visited Kakching Garden, one of the prime attractions of the district. She expressed admiration for the scenic beauty of the place, calling it refreshing and heartwarming. In her visiting note, she wrote that such a beautiful and well-maintained garden would continue to attract countless visitors in the times to come.
During the visit, Kakching Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand (IAS), Superintendent of Police Priyadarshini Laishram (MPS), along with other district officials, accompanied her. At Kakching Garden, she was felicitated warmly. Kakching Ex-MLA Yengkhom Surchandra also joined her there, interacted with her, and presented memorable gifts as tokens of goodwill.
