Security forces apprehended five active cadres of KCP (PWG), including one woman, from various locations of Imphal East, Imphal West, and Bishnupur District of Manipur.
They were involved in extortion, firing incidents, kidnapping, and possession of arms and ammunition.
The arrested persons have been identified as:
i. Mayanglambam Premkumar Singh (28) @ Manao of Kachikhul Mamang Leikai, Thangjing Khullen under Patsoi-PS, Imphal West District, arrested from his residence.
ii. Yambem Shital Singh (39) of Chingmeirong Maning Leikai under Lamphel-PS, Imphal East District, arrested from his residence.
iii. Sorokhaibam Inaoton Singh (38) @ Nojan of Lamsang Thong Maning under Lamsang-PS, Imphal West District, arrested from his residence.
iv. Khongbantabam Inaocha Devi (52) of Kha Leirenkabi under Lamsang-PS, Imphal West District, arrested from her residence.
v. Oinam Naoba Singh (18) @ Prithi of Thanga Ngaram Leikai, Bishnupur District, a/p Malom Tulihal Maning Leikai under Nambol-PS, Imphal West District, arrested from a house located at Malom Tulihal Maning Leikai.
Police also seized the following items from their possession: one 9mm pistol along with one magazine loaded with one round of 9mm ammunition, five mobile phones, and three Aadhaar cards.
