FNCC Condemns Act of Frisking Passenger Bus by Armed Individuals in Molnom Village

Reacting strongly against the act of frisking and checking a passenger bus traveling at Molnom Village by armed individuals suspected to be from the Kuki militant group, the Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) demanded that those responsible tender an immediate public apology or issue a clear explanation for this brazen misconduct.

The incident, which went viral on social media, occurred on the morning of September 8, 2025, when the bus traveling from Sanakeithei, a Tangkhul Naga Village located in Ukhrul District, was stopped by a man in combat fatigue carrying arms at Molnom Village.

According to a statement issued by the FNCC Media Cell, it considered the act an unprovoked aggression and an intolerable insult to the dignity and security of the Naga people. The FNCC reaffirmed that the Naga people will not tolerate any infringement upon their ancestral land, freedom, or dignity. It warned that the continuing provocations by Kuki militants would only invite unavoidable consequences. The onus now lies with the Kuki leadership and their armed groups to restrain their cadres.
