The FNCC rescinded its stand on no-entry for Kuki in Naga inhabitants’ areas this afternoon, following a deliberate discussion with State Home Commissioner-cum-Secretary N. Ashok Kumar at the Secretariat in Imphal.
It was also assured in the meeting that the issue of illegal road construction will be verified and looked into with necessary legal action, and will not be permitted if any such activity is taking place. The state government is ready to look into the concern expressed by FNCC on SoO camps in consultation with the Government of India.
The discussion was attended by representative leaders from the Joint Tribe Council, the Foothill Naga Coordination Committee, the Thangkhul Naga Foothills Organisation, and the Koubru-range Liangmai Women Union.
