FNCC Submits Memo Against SoO Camps and Controversial Road Construction

The FNCC has asked the central government, through a memorandum, not to allow any Kuki-militant SoO camps in and near Naga-inhabited areas and wants complete intervention and a halt to the construction of the controversial proposed road named German or Tiger Road by some individuals.

The said memorandum was submitted to the Manipur Governor for the Prime Minister, expressing concern that the SoO camps in and near Naga-inhabited areas have posed a serious threat to communal harmony, constitutional order, and national security, and asked that they not be allowed without the consent of the people. The FNCC also asked for a firm assurance from the government that any proposed Separate Administration for Kukis must not include any part of Naga ancestral land.

The FNCC (Foothills Naga Coordination Committee) had earlier imposed a bandh on the entry of Kuki people into Naga-inhabited areas from the 18th at midnight.

The FNCC also asked for a firm assurance from the government that any proposed Separate Administration for Kukis must not include any part of Naga ancestral land.
