FOCS Furies Over WCKCSO’s Unwarranted Allegation, Says Blatant Liar

The Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS)-Manipur outrightly rejects the allegation made by the Working Committee Kuki CSOs (WCKCSOs) that a FOCS leader also influences the Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) on the current indefinite restriction of entry by Kuki-Zo in Naga areas.

FOCS, in a statement, called it a blatant lie and an unfounded allegation with no bearings, and stated that FOCS has in no way related to the current bandh imposed by FNCC on the restriction of movement of Kuki entry in Naga-inhabited areas.

Strongly condemning such unwarranted accusations, the FOCS believes such accusations against a leader, who had self-resigned 4 months ago after his term as president, cannot be considered lightly and also exposes the nefarious act of the so-called Working Committee Kuki CSOs.

The WCKCSO, in a statement on current restrictions, said, “This campaign of hatred being orchestrated by FOCS and the Federation of Haomee against the Kukis has gained considerable traction within the Liangmei community who reside alongside the Kukis.”

The FOCS also said the people of Manipur are quite aware of them for propagating wrong narratives and history, and the people are aware of the reasons for imposing the entry ban by the FNCC through the media: it’s largely due to the construction of German or Tiger Road en route along the Naga-inhabited areas with a plan to use it as an illegal trafficking route for drugs, the effort to set up SoO camps to accommodate over 1000 cadres near Naga areas, the establishment of new villages encroaching on Naga-inhabited areas, etc.
