Former BJP leaders Y. Surchandra Singh (37-Kakching Assembly Constituency) and L. Radhakishore Singh (25-Oinam Assembly Constituency), along with young entrepreneur Uttamkumar Ningthoujam (28-Thanga Assembly Constituency), officially joined the Indian National Congress (INC) today.
The induction was approved by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), and the leaders were warmly received by Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, Member of Parliament and AICC In-charge of Manipur, at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi.
Surchandra Singh, a former MLA of Kakching, and Radhakishore Singh, former MLA of Oinam, both contested the 2022 elections as BJP candidates. Uttamkumar Ningthoujam, known for his work in the electronics industry and as founder of ELVEEGO Circuits Pvt. Ltd., adds professional and entrepreneurial experience to the party’s ranks.
The Congress described the induction as part of its effort to bring experienced leaders and innovative professionals into its fold, strengthening the party’s presence and outreach in Manipur.
